Storyteller Suite
Storyteller Suite is an Obsidian plugin for building story worlds, planning manuscripts, and running interactive campaign-style sessions without leaving your vault. Everything is stored as normal notes, so the plugin layer stays optional instead of locking your data into a database.
What it does
- Characters - rich character notes with portraits, relationships, custom fields, D&D/RPG stats, owned items, and exportable character sheets.
- Locations - hierarchical places with map bindings, linked entities, atmosphere details, and optional campaign modifiers like ambient flags.
- Events and Timeline - timeline and Gantt views, milestone filtering, grouping, search, tracks, eras, and optional inclusion of regular vault notes.
- Campaign Play - a DM-facing play mode for running scenes with party HP, inventory, flags, branch choices, and encounter tables.
- Groups - factions, families, organizations, and other collections of characters, locations, items, and events.
- Maps - image and real-world maps with markers, portals, linked child maps, and marker sources from notes or code blocks.
- Compendium - reference notes for creatures, materials, spells, plants, and other worldbuilding knowledge.
- Manuscript - chapters, scenes, drafts, story board views, compile workflows, and custom compile steps.
- Templates - built-in story templates plus editable entity and world templates.
- Analytics - POV stats, pacing views, heatmaps, screen-time style reports, and writing analytics panels.
